Southern employee Tom Dziedzic truly knows the meaning of “something extra.” Tom recently performed the Heimlich maneuver on a customer dining at the Bosch Corporation—saving the man’s life. Southern and Bosch teamed up to host a reception honoring Tom, and his heroic action.

• Manufacturing/Industrial. We have the knowledge required to manage onsite dining in an environment where quality, speed of service and value are critical factors. We understand that each facility is different, with unique operational and financial challenges. Our flexible operating approach and relevant experience are a winning combination in this environment. Southern’s manufacturing clients include Mercedes, Volkswagen, Lockheed Martin, BioMerieux and Bosch.

Southern serves public and private K-12 educational systems with the same “something extra” values we foster throughout our business. We know that operating successful onsite dining in schools is about more than managing the budget and nutrition. It also involves bringing excitement to the program through marketing and by offering the brand-name products that students want. Southern’s clients in this segment include Montgomery Academy, and Westminster Schools of Augusta.

Government services are an important Southern sector. Southern serves a variety of U.S., state and municipal agencies in a variety of settings. Our quality and service achievements in this market have been recognized repeatedly, including being awarded the prestigious General Services Administration Operator of the Year award multiple times. Southern’s clients in this segment include the Department of Homeland Security, the NASA Marshall Space Flight Center and the U.S. Coast Guard.
